The cutting can be executed after the machine has been stopped or when it is running.
Depending on the kind and shape of section, the following devices are used:

• flying saws
• pneumatic cutters
• hydraulic cutters

Depending on quality requirements and dimension tolerances, the kind of longitudinal drive for the cutting equipment is selected:

• with precision starting from ± 1.5 mm, pneumatic or hydraulic drives are used
• with precision ± 0.3 - 0,5 mms, servomotor longitudinal drives are used
